As I read this story, I could picture Hal and Ilona in Germany with Friedl and Georg, celebrating the holidays, eating roasted chestnuts and taking in the Joseph Abboud show.

A very unusual Christmas story! So you watch it every year like we watch “It’s a Wonderful Life”. I smiled as I thought of all of you gathered together watching this and laughing. Each year you can imagine what is coming next. I kept waiting for him to actually fall over after tripping on the head of the rug. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your tradition!
