Marcie Sims is a teacher, author, and editor. She teaches literature/film, composition, and creative writing courses at Green River College in Auburn, WA. She lives on Vashon Island, just a short ferry ride away from Seattle, Washington. She writes fiction (short stories and novels), poetry, composition textbooks and has written one historic overview of Capitol Hill Pages as a former U.S. Senate page herself.

  1. I enjoyed this story tremendously, from the beautiful picture of Ilona and Hal, to learning about Marylou and the charming cabin, and the funny part about Hal

  2. What a delightful story! From beginning to end. I absolutely love the picture too. It seems to capture the sweet relationship between these two. Makes me smile. And the story itself. What a hoot! I can just picture Hal trying to confront his “stalker” only to realize this it is his scruffy chin hairs that were getting in his way. And the target shooting. I didn’t realize that our Ilona was an expert marksperson. But not surprising. I look forward each week to another story. Saturday is coming up!
