  1. I hope you all enjoy this latest story from Ilona as much as I do. I, of course, love all her stories and that is why I am featuring them on my website this year. This one, like so many of her wonderful stories, makes me want to travel. . .and makes me hungry!

Leave a comment for Ilona to tell her you enjoyed it too.
    Thanks for reading, Marcie

  2. Ilona’s stories always transport you to beautiful imagery, exquisite dining experiences and to a more genteel world full of history and art. Always a joyful read. Thank you for sharing them, Marcie!

  3. I really did not want this story to end, as I was riding along the edge of the Odenwald forest, with the warm summer air swirling around, and then imagining the setting for the marvelous concert and dinner. What a beautiful memory of Ilona

  4. I always look forward to Ilona’s stories. They take me to a different world that stimulates every sense, makes me hungry, and lets me know that I missed a beautiful time in a beautiful country but leaves me feeling as though I had almost been there.

  5. I agree with all of the previous comments. I LOVE Ilona’s stories. They are so evocative of a beautiful past. So intimate, reflecting family ties and travels. As always, the descriptions invite you into the experience where you can almost smell the flowers, hear the music, taste the food. What a gift to travel these memories with Ilona and almost feel like being there with her — at least there with her in her revelries. Thank you!
