Mount Hood

It had been three years since I had come to this country from Germany, and I still had not yet gotten used to the incessant rain. Not really rain, but dark clouds and drizzle.   1. Oh my! This was no gentle escape to the French countryside! What a contrast between this eventful vacation and previous posts! I am glad you made it home safe and sound. It did give you a deeper appreciation for your new home in green and wet Washington. (Actually, kind of a funny story — with a happy ending.)
