I thoroughly enjoyed this story of Hal and Ilona and the day they got their beloved Ilonka sailboat! Ilona and Hal and Tom and I exchanged many good sailing stories, and they were a big inspiration for us to buy our own sailboat, Carpe Diem, and learn to sail. Hope you enjoy her story too, Marcie
I could imagine the excitement about the purchase of the beautiful ILONKA and the magical time Hal and Ilona spent on the water. The phrase
I can feel the breeze blowing through Ilona’s hair. A gourmet lunch on the boat. Hal smiling at his beloved while he tends the sail. I didn’t know this part if Ilona and Hal’s story as well as other parts of their journey. What an adventuresome couple! And what a great name for their boat, ILONKA. I bet there is a story behind that naming too!
