What a tragedy, for Kristal, the adventurous young woman, her husband and baby, and the other innocent Lebanese people who lost their lives. I
I so agree with Karin. Will we ever ever learn that war serves no one! Only brings sorrow and tragedy… Dear Kristal and her new little family caught up in affairs not of their own making…. When I was working in Boston, one of my colleagues was from Lebanon. She and her family also fled during the same year that Kristal did. But they made it to safety in the United States. She could hardly talk about her experience and the loss of friends, others family members, and family home. War cuts so deep and leaves lasting wounds. Ilona will always carry the images and memories of her sweet friend Kristal who crossed her life during more hopeful days.
