  2. What a delightful story! My mom used to make my eggs this way when I was growing up. She would adeptly slice off the top of the egg without crumbling the shell. A perfect even cut! Then she would put a dollop of sweet cream butter into the center of the rich warm yoke. We had special egg cups like the one in the picture, and little spoons that fit nicely into the just-right cooked egg. Sometimes I would dip the corner of my toast that she had cut into perfect little triangles (without the crust) into the center of the yoke. Yum! Thank you Ilona, for bringing this memory back. Anyone ready for some eggs for breakfast?
