Makes me smile and also realize how what we so often take for granted is a puzzle to others not familiar with some of our “traditions.” I love the image I have of Ilona trying to explain this to Friedl. (I don’t know if she actually convinced her sister of the merit of this “shower” tradition!) Thank you dear Ilona for making me giggle!
