  1. What a beautiful story and what a beautiful picture of Georg and Friedl during that lovely 50th anniversary celebration! Also, I would love to see (and eat!) that incredible Herren Torte that Ilona describes in such a mouthwatering and aesthetic way in this tale. Thank you, Ilona, for another lovely tale about the finer moments in life. Marcie

  2. Georg has such a loving expression on his face, as he gazes at Friedl on their 50th wedding anniversary, and the wonderful surprise that Hal and Ilona arranged to celebrate the occasion was just as loving. Time spent planning ways to show our loved ones love is time well spent, and Ilona does this so beautifully.

  3. Yes, another beautiful and “mouthwatering story.” The love and devotion between these two sisters is deep and inspiring. It comes through with Ilona’s close attention to every detail that makes this anniversary occasion memorable. It is revealed in Friedl’s open arms in receiving her beloved sister, and her pleasure in the beautiful orchid. A visit. A celebration. Friends. Family. A short stay that stamps itself forever on the lives of those who were there. And now on those of us who receive this lovely tale.
